Gaby Ayala-Reyes was born in Deleano, California and has lived in the Coachella Valley her entire life. She graduated from Indio High School and obtained her B.A. in Gender, Ethnicity, and Multicultural Studies and Minored in Sociology from Cal Poly Pomona. During the summer months while at university, she worked with Fred Young Labor Camp Kids Club and Summer Camps.
Gaby has had the pleasure of working with United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire for 10 years. Working with UCPIE has given her a stronger understanding of community needs and how to best support those needs. Gaby developed a very personal interest in working with special needs individuals since she has an uncle with severe epilepsy and a younger cousin with autism. It’s her goal to continue supporting the special needs and adaptive sports community, and with the support of the Foundation, grow the awareness and the needs for more inclusive recreational activities and accessible park community.

Desert Recreation Foundation is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Desert Recreation Foundation
